Shakespeare’s Women on Stage
PR / The international theatre group TEV (Theatre of Eternal Values ) has created an inspiring piece honouring the Bard’s 450th birthday, exploring his female characters and representations. The piece was favourably received at the Fringe Festival in Rome this past year. In excerpts from the various plays, the main female characters are involved in a debate over their respective roles with the playwright himself. This creates an exciting friction between the destinies played out and the modern discussion of the changing perception of women and their roles in society today.
